I have done my best to lay this book out in a logical and progressive order. However, much of the text is so closely related that it may be necessary to skip around from time to time.

Variations in tempo require variations in technique when playing rudiments. Over the course of one minute, a rudiment should be played slowly, then gradually sped up to a fast tempo, and then gradually slowed back down to the original tempo. This slow - fast - slow breakdown will insure that your hands and mind are trained to successfully execute a given rudiment at any tempo.
