HAVING FUN PLAYING HAND DRUMS VIDEO SERIES

Three of the videos each concentrate on one of the three most popular families of hand drums, specifically the African djembe, the bongos, and the congas. The fourth video of the series is 60 min. long and focuses on how to play all these drums and how to play together with other drummers. In each of the 30 min. drum specific videos, Brad Dutz presents, in an animated and friendly style, the essentials of how to develop a good sense of the beat, how to produce the drum tones, and how to play a rhythm.

The videos follow a "whole body" approach to learning how to drum by incorporating exercises that have the viewer stepping in place to the beat while playing a rhythm on the drum.
